Lisbon Trial: Awaiting the Verdict

Many of you who have been following the trial will be aware of the fact that the deadline for all parties to deliver their legal arguments to the court ended on the 26th of February.

Legal arguments were delivered by several parties and now we await a verdict from the Judge.

Article 607 of the Portuguese Civil Process Code stipulates an indicative period of 30 days after the process is concluded by the Judge. While this is not a legal deadline but merely a recommendation, several jurists believe that this case will receive a relatively swift decision.

Judicial holidays over the Easter period (March 29-April 6, dates are inclusive) mean that no verdict will be issued during this interruption of the Courts' work.

We trust in Justice and serenely await the Judge's decision, in solidarity with Gonçalo Amaral.

For your ongoing support, we thank you very, very much.

I hope justice is done for Goncalo Ameral. It should never have proceeded this far. The Mccanns need putting in the place that Goncola Ameral has been for these last few year. He and his wife never left their daughter.

    Take heart Mr. Amaral!

The Portuguese Community is London is unanimous in the support of your constitutional right to an opinion - and an expert opinion at that - and totally against the McCanns' attempt to re-address their dubious image - by means of a global multi-million reputation management campaign and repressive legal rhetoric apparatus which, for years, have been trying to denigrate and destroy you instead!

Suffice it to note the McCanns' international legal teams count, in London, with the co-operation of the prohibitively expensive Carter-Ruck - known here as the "hangmen"; and in Lisbon with the "Ordem dos Advogados" very best. Seasoned and ruthless "legionnaires" such as Rogério Alves and Isabel Duarte - not to mention "side-kicks" such as Marinho "Photoshop" Pinto and his "madcap" nephew, Marcos Aragão Correia, but I digress.

How the Portuguese Government was naive enough to the point of allowing Scotland Yard "blockbuster pseudo-investigative productions" in Portugal on behalf of the McCanns' completely by passes all of us - particularly in view of the political associations of Clarence "Mickey Mouse" Mitchell (the McCanns' spokesperson) with David Cameron (who ordered the "review" of the Portuguese investigation) - and we are not even mentioning the role (if any) of Rebekha Brooks (former editor of the Sun), her husband Charlie Brooks (old friend of David Cameron), Matthew Freud (of the Chipping Norton set), Rupert Murdoch's media empire and others!

Hang in there Mr. Amaral! No matter how long it will take. Revenge is a dish best served cold.
